The Mental Health Technician cares for individuals with psychiatric conditions as well as a variety of substance use disorders, following the instructions of physicians, nurses or other health practitioners. The Behavioral Health Technician monitors a patients' safety, physical and emotional well-being and report directly to medical staff. They will be working 1:1 with patients who will need extensive mental health care.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's degree in behavioral studies or related field, or equivalent experience preferred (or per facility requirements)
- Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
