Consulting is changing, and we're not like other firms. Veeva Business Consulting was launched in 2019 and has grown quickly and organically to a global organization of over 400 people. Our team is focused on making the life sciences industry more efficient and effective through software, data, and consulting working together.
We expect significant growth in Business Consulting as we look towards 2030, and are looking for great people to make it happen.
The Role
We are hiring an L&D Manager to help grow our Business Consulting team at Veeva. Your job is to make sure our people have the skills they need to succeed, deliver great work for our customers, and feel supported in their careers.
You'll join the Talent Development team to build and run training programs for our global consultants. This isn't just about onboarding; it's about helping our experienced consultants keep getting better.
You will own the entire process: figuring out what skills are missing, designing the curriculum, and executing the sessions. You'll work closely with our business leaders and report to the Director of Talent Development.
This role is for you if you are an experienced L&D professional who thrives in a fast-growing organization and finds energy in seeing others succeed. You don't need structure to get started. You're eager to jump in, figure out what's needed, and build it. You're organized, you communicate clearly, and you care about making training that actually works.
What You'll Do
- Stay in tune with the business by talking to teams and leaders to identify skill gaps and evolve our training strategy
- Map out learning journeys and build the materials to support them, ensuring content is always fresh, dynamic, and valuable for our people
- Lead and facilitate everything from experienced-hire onboarding to high-impact events like our annual Promotion Training, ensuring every session is an excellent learning experience
Requirements - 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with a track record of delivering measurable results; experience in business or management consulting preferred
- Can both design the training content and lead the sessions; you are equally skilled at writing materials and presenting to a room
- Can proactively identify what our consultants need to learn by staying connected to the team and their challenges
- Can create training that works for everyone, from new hires to leadership
- Can take complex ideas and turn them into simple, clear, and engaging learning materials
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to keep a high-performing, busy audience engaged
- Expertise in in-person and virtual training facilitation to provide a tailored and consistent experience
- Excellent project management skills to keep multiple training programs on track and organized
- Confidence to partner with senior leaders to ensure training aligns with the goals of the business
Perks & Benefits - Medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance
- Flexible PTO and company paid holidays
- Retirement programs
- 1% charitable giving program
Compensation - Base pay: $85,000 - $170,000
- The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.

Work Where It's Best for You Work Anywhere means you can work in an office or at home on any given day. It's about getting the work done in the way and place that works best for each person. This applies across all locations and departments.
Work Anywhere does not mean work at any time. We have predictable core hours where employees are generally available for meetings and collaboration. Employees are focused and available during core hours.
We invest in our offices to make them places where our employees like to go. If you work in the office three or more days a week, you will have a dedicated office workspace. Our offices function as hubs to draw people in, create social bonds, and where random connections and mixing of ideas happen. We're investing more in offices, culture, and offsite meetings, not less.
Product teams are organized in regional product hubs for optimal collaboration and live within a time zone of their hub. Our current product hubs are located in Pleasanton, Columbus, Boston, Kansas City, New York City, Raleigh, and Toronto. We create opportunities for teams to get together in person regularly.
Customer-facing roles, such as Sales and Professional Services, live near and/or travel to their customers.
When an employee moves within a country it does not cause a change in salary. Where you live impacts you and your family. Not knowing if your compensation will change if you move can cause stress and uncertainty for everyone. We wanted to eliminate that.
Work at Veeva. Work where it's best for you.
