Overview & Purpose
PAID INTERNSHIP: $23.00/Hour

Target 11-week Internship Dates: 5/18/26 - 7/30/26

(4-10 work schedule M-Th 7am - 5:30pm) Some flexibility with scheduled hours. May have the opportunity for one day a week remote work (conditions apply).
Work collaboratively with the CAP Contract & Procurement Services team to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of Contracting and Procuring commodities and services.

Position Responsibilities

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work with CAP Contract & Procurement Services staff to develop, solicit, and administer contract documents for the procurement of equipment, materials, supplies, and services necessary to support the CAP operation.
2. Assist with drafting informal and formal solicitation documents.
3. Assist in the formal evaluation process.
4. Assist with contract documentation audits to show compliance with federal and state laws and the CAP's Administrative Policy Purchasing.
5. Assist with rectifying any discrepancies in shipping, receiving, or accounts payable.
6. Assist with pre-proposal/post-award conferences, and site visits.
7. At end of the 11-week engagement, intern will prepare and deliver a presentation which includes:
   1. A summary of the work
   2. What he/she learned
   3. An evaluation of the intern experience at CAP
   4. Recommendations for future interns

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Junior or higher level student (or recent grad) working toward a degree in Supply Chain or similar field. May be an undergrad or grad student.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Clear oral communication skills.
• Excellent writing abilities.
• Must submit transcripts (official or unofficial) with the online application.
• Must be legally authorized to work a paid internship in the United States.
