Role: Strategy & Operations Lead ( Change Manager)

We are seeking an experienced IT Strategy, Operating Rhythm & Transformation
Consultant to support our team in diagnosing current-state ways of working, identifying
opportunities for improvement, and driving execution of operating rhythm and
governance/ways of working changes. The ideal contractor has strong strategic thinking
capabilities, excellent communication and facilitation skills, and a proven consulting
toolkit that enables them to translate ambiguity into clear problem statements, actionable
recommendations, and high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
• Discovery & Analysis
o Conduct structured discovery sessions and interviews to understand current
operating model, processes, decision flows, and team interactions.
o Identify pain points, gaps, inefficiencies, and root causes across people,
process, technology, and governance.
o Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into clear insights and problem
statements.
• Strategy & Recommendation Development
o Develop options, hypotheses, and recommendations for operating model
adjustments and workflow enhancements.
o Redesign or propose changes to the operating rhythm, including cadences,
governance, decision-making forums, and cross-functional touchpoints.
o Translate insights into strategic frameworks and clear narrative storylines.
• Execution & Change Support
o Partner with leaders and teams to implement agreed-upon operating model
and rhythm changes.
o Support rollout of new processes, meeting structures, communication
norms, and accountability mechanisms.
o Monitor progress, surface risks, and adjust implementation plans as needed.
• Facilitation & Collaboration
o Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and alignment forums to gather
input, build consensus, and drive decisions.
o Act as a thought partner to leadership and cross-functional teams, bringing
structure and clarity to ambiguous discussions.
• Deliverable Creation
o Produce high-quality presentations, analyses, frameworks, and materials
that communicate insights and recommendations clearly and persuasively.
o Create documentation that supports adoption and sustainability of new
operating rhythms and processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 5-10+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy, operating model
design, organizational effectiveness, or related roles.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to structure ambiguous
problems.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and storytelling abilities.
• Demonstrated experience running discovery sessions, identifying operational
issues, and designing improved operating rhythms.
• High proficiency in creating executive-ready materials (e.g., decks, frameworks,
narrative documents).
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across multiple levels of
an organization.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and drive work forward with
minimal oversight.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with organizational design, business process redesign, or enterprise
transformation initiatives.
• Background in tech, product, or cross-functional operating models (optional).
• Familiarity with change management practices and adoption strategies.
