The Division of Engineering Services (DES), Program/Project Management & Office Engineer (PPM&OE), Office of Program Management (OPM), AASHTOWare Preconstruction and EBid (APEA), is recruiting to fill a Transportation Engineer (TE) (Civil) position, located in Sacramento.
Under the direction of the AASHTOWare Preconstruction and EBid (APEA) Branch Chief, a Senior Transportation Engineer (Supervisor), the Transportation Engineer (Civil) has responsibility for AASHTOWare Project Preconstruction (AWP-P) software maintenance and operation. The incumbent assists with AWP-P and Office Engineer data management, prepares and publishes relevant guidelines, automates and maintains custom reports, provides support to users, investigates and resolves software issues, and coordinates with Office Engineer staff on functionality related to business processes. Responds to Ebid related contractor bidder inquiries and contractor questions.
The Transportation Engineer (Civil) has responsibility for AASHTOWare Project Preconstruction (AWP-P) software maintenance and operation. The incumbent assists with AWP-P and Office Engineer data management, prepares and publishes relevant guidelines, automates and maintains custom reports, provides support to users, investigates and resolves software issues, and coordinates with Office Engineer staff on functionality related to business processes. Responds to Ebid related contractor bidder inquiries and contractor questions.
Appointment to Range D requires a valid Professional Engineering License (Civil) issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. For all other ranges, a PE license is not required. Possession of a valid drivers license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle.
Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required. Failure to submit a Statement of Qualifications will disqualify candidates from the hiring process. The SOQ must summarize your knowledge and experience in the items listed below, be typed single-spaced in 12-point font, and be no longer than two pages in length. Resumes do not take the place of the SOQ.
