Creative Audio-AI Voice and Audio LeadCreative Audio-AI Voice and Audio Lead Responsibilities* Lead a small team of AI Leads on Voice and Audio, across multiple projects of increasing dependencies and complexities of high-impact, facilitating career growth, and creating a collaborative atmosphere* Actively influences the strategy and shaping of the roadmap for Creative Audio AI and sets a approach, direction and goals for the team* Applied knowledge of domain, business, market, and industry to advance overall team goals* In collaboration with the Creative Audio leadership, set clear expectations and create a supportive work environment based on support and accountability* Contribute to strategy on resources against a wide, varied, and fast-evolving portfolio of projects* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate audio into the product development process* Work with technical sound designers, conversational designers, voice lead, creative coders, engineers, PMs and researchers to develop unique AI audio experiences* Provide creative and technical direction and guidance to AI leads and creative coders* Stay up-to-date with AI industry trends and emerging AI technologies* Represent the AI Audio Team in cross-functional meetings and presentations* Ensure strategic partnerships are effective with Engineering, Design, and Product Management teams across Meta* Advocate for the role and value of audio across Meta and in the larger creative community* Understand the strengths and opportunities on the current team as it grows, and recruit for new roles and actively participate in the hiring process* Build a collaborative environment across the team, model respectful behaviors, and hold team members accountable* Foster a collaborative design practiceMinimum Qualifications* 10+ years of professional sound design, including text-to-speech voice development, technical sound design, or equivalent experience in AI* Implementation experience, focused on high-quality sonic experiences* 7+ years experience leading teams of creative and technical experts with specialties* Experience with AI and generative AI systems (e.g. LLMs), and/or text-to-speech model training* Experience with tuning audio hardware experiences using sound tools and/or DSP* Experience leading across multiple cross functional partners, projects and managing multiple vendors* Demonstrated critical listening skills, experience with verifying audio quality on software and hardware with a proven ear for maintaining high quality* Experience with voice production or audio post production, including casting, recording, voice direction, editing, and mastering* Proficiency in digital audio workstations and editing tools (Pro Tools and Izotope RX)* Demonstrated understanding of DSP, audio synthesis, and digital audio concepts and formats* Scripting or programming experience (Python, C++, JavaScript)* Familiarity with QA processes, test plans, and bug tracking* Demonstrated communication skillsPreferred Qualifications* Experience with coding or advanced scripting for complex sound implementation* Familiarity with studio and location recording, editing, mixing, and mastering* Experience working with distributed teams* Experience in advancing AI techniques, including core contributions to open source libraries and frameworks in computer vision* Experience establishing an Audio team within an established organization* Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG methodologies* Experience with generative sound or music, speech synthesis, NLP, music information retrieval, or digital signal processingAbout MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
