Recreational Therapist Opportunity

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Recreational Therapist to work at a facility in San Luis Obispo, California. These are registry positions with our company. Pay Rate: $58/hour W2. Job Details: Area: Mental Health OT-10H Class: RECT Shift: 1 Start: 07:00 AM End: 05:30 PM.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 36 months (3 years) as a Recreational Therapist
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
• Certificates accepted from the National Council for Therapeutic Certification (NCTRC) or the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification (CBRPC)

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs
• Consider medical records
• Personal observation and talks with the patient and his or her loved ones
• Execute a therapeutic program targeted toward what that patient requires most
• Keep current on communal and therapeutic resources available to best help the patients
• Document a patient's progress during their activities
• Other duties assigned by supervisor
