If yes, the Sheriff's Office is seeking a self-motivated, hard-working individual to fill the position of Cook! As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking all types of foods in large quantities for the County Jail. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment to follow recipes and prepare special diets as directed, using a variety of kitchen equipment such as blenders, mixers, grinders, and slicers. Additionally, you are responsible to ensure food is properly stored and leftover foods are used according to prescribed procedures, as well as ensuring equipment and dishes are properly cleaned. In this position you may be required to load and drive large transportation vehicles for purposes of delivering meals and you may also be required to operate a communications radio.
