DEFINITION - Under general supervision, the Nursing and Allied Health Laboratory and Simulation Technician supports healthcare education by operating and maintaining simulation equipment, including manikins and human patient simulators, to create realistic learning environments. The technician ensures the proper functionality of simulation technology, assists faculty with simulation sessions, and manages the inventory and maintenance of lab and simulation resources. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS - The Nursing and Allied Health Laboratory and Simulation Technician is distinguished from other Technician classes in that incumbents are required to be knowledgeable in equipment, materials, and safe practices used in human patient simulation.
