Role description: Arcadis seeks Structures Inspector to join the team in Selma, CA to perform construction inspections ensuring materials and workmanship meet project requirements.

Must be able to work onsite in Selma, CA.

The Construction Field Inspector will perform on-site inspections to confirm contractor compliance with approved documents and quality standards during construction.

Role Accountabilities:

• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change notices impacting field work. Ensure construction staff uses the latest documents.
• Review approved submittals, verify approvals, and ensure comments are incorporated.
• Conduct visual inspections per project standards.
• Prepare and publicize weekly quality punch lists.
• Participate in work plan preparation for each project element.
• Coordinate testing data with third-party labs and on-site personnel.
• Perform quality control inspections during all phases of work.
• Maintain records of quality testing and project logs, analyze trends for deficiencies.
• Write NCRs and participate in resolving project deficiencies.
• Document daily work with photographs and detailed inspection reports.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years' experience in Transportation Construction Inspection
• Experience with Caltrans or California transportation projects
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• OSHA 10 or 30 safety training

Key Skills and Attributes:

• Effective communication with contractors, agencies, and the public
• Valid driver's license for operating a company vehicle
• Knowledge of construction materials, drawings, specifications, RFIs, and change notices
• Ability to prepare clear reports and maintain accurate records
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and engineering software
