Musick, Peeler & Garrett LLPs San Diego office has an opening available for a Litigation Legal Assistant with a minimum of 3 yrs. CA litigation experience. This position is full-time, non-exempt, and is a hybrid position (is eligible to work from home one day a week after 90-days), with hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Requirements:
This position is for a fast-paced, heavy litigation desk and requires solid knowledge of federal, state, and appellate court filing rules and procedures with a strong litigation background that includes e-filing, trial prep and trial experience. Must have knowledge of preparing tables of contents and authorities, preparing discovery shells, and very familiar with the litigation life cycle of a case. Must have excellent proofreading and writing skills, and great attention to detail. Excellent follow-up, initiative, organizational and calendaring skills is required. Excellent typing, formatting, editing, redlining, and computer software skills needed with specific knowledge of Word 2010 or higher, Outlook, and iManage or similar document management system. Knowledge of CompuLaw, Best Authority, Kofax, Comparite, and CCC Macros are a plus.
